Trust in Technology?
We have too much trust in technology and not enough trust in our intuitions.
Why would I say that?
Technology in this world as of 2026 has been pretty darn “cool” comparing it to 1980’s.
Thus, people have had to learn how to speak the language of technology. People of all kinds all over the world enjoy the internet and all the technology. It seems to make life easier and more enjoyable!
But at what cost?
Instead of connecting to our inner selves, people are pulled to connect to the outer world of technology.
Our inner selves are our source of all knowledge, our source to our intuitions. Our intuitions keep us safe in a world that is a duality world, darkness and light. Even on the internet there is duality, internet vs dark web.
In this day and age, we are seeing the advances of AI. But again, to what cost?
People with darker ideas have used AI for: power plays, extortion, political power plays, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, misleading the public in news, revenge, world power plays, sexual enjoyment, money, sex trafficking, personal gains with no regards to who it hurts, and so forth.
People with lighter ideas have used AI for: information, understanding, knowledge, keeping up with world news, sharing fun photos, creating exciting photos, and etc.
People have placed trust in technology instead of their intuitions.
At what cost?
Becoming victims due to trusting technology. Trusting technology as in:
Trusting the information AI provides a person on the internet.
AI is only a “machine” giving you information that spits out that it copied from multiple sources. Were the sources reliable? Machines don’t have the human ability to empathize, to understand right from wrong, to intuitively know it is wrong, and to question if it is wrong.
Being a photographer, I’ve watched as people such as photographers and non-photographers create AI photography for fun, making fun, exciting creations.
But AI has recently been used to create misleading news photography, photography that helps to extort money from people, sexual trafficking, etc. Why? Who does this benefit?
Can the public tell the difference? Many cannot tell the difference. I myself will not use AI in photography due to the environmental impact. I find creating my own photography from actually taking the photo is much more enjoyable to me then faking it and trying to pass it off as a real photo.
I’m aware of how easy it is to “trick” someone or the public in believing what the photo shares. AI photography has become even more convincing lately. Even the experts may have a bit of trouble identifying it as “fake”. Above I created a photo not from AI, but from goofing around with photography editing tools. It looks pretty good! But imagine using AI which creates a photo that looks real. Fun, but also scary.
These misleading photos are placed on the internet. The public loses their logical sides seeing them and they move into their emotional sides. Different communities, states, countries of people move into chaos pointing fingers and blaming at whatever the news photo conveyed. Thus, the public has trusted “technology” over what their own gut instincts say. (Intuitions.)
We need to question all communications using technology that shows up to us. If it is a photo or video, question if it is even real. Especially if your inner self has that little bit of “not sure if it is real.” If the news is way out there, I bet if you listen into your inner selves, you’ll see it as “fake”. The fake photo or news was there for some personal gain, whether it be a single person, group of people, a country, etc.
Phone spoofing was used back in the day to play a practical joke on a friend. But now it is used to steal people’s livelihoods, used to steal life savings, create mistrust among all people, and to hurt people: physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
Phone spoofing is trusting in what a cell phone (technology) is telling you. The phone number that comes up, most people believe it to be really is who the cell phone or landline phone answering machine says!!!
But NO!!!
Technology has made it so anyone with some skills can actually make the phone call look like it is an official site. Trust your intuition! If you feel something is off, listen to that little feeling or voice inside of you.
Best bet, do not answer your phone. Allow the caller to leave a voicemail. And you can look up the phone number of the person or organization it was supposed to be and then call them, questioning the institution whether they called you or not. Do not use links on texts or phone calls.
Listen to your inner selves! Your inner selves are gentle, but they are here to keep you safe and happy.
Place your trust in technology, and you will find yourself a victim sooner or later.
Take care out there.

Inner shadows are our belief systems, our thoughts, our behaviors, our life experiences.)
